Assurans: Restore Confidence with Reliable Erectile Function

Assurans is a trusted phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor medication specifically formulated to address erectile dysfunction (ED) by enhancing blood flow to the penile tissues. This facilitates the achievement and maintenance of a firm erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual activity. Its active ingredient, Sildenafil Citrate, is a well-established vasodilator with a proven clinical history of efficacy and safety in managing this common condition. By targeting the underlying physiological mechanisms of erection, Assurans provides a reliable and predictable therapeutic option for men seeking to improve their sexual health and intimate relationships.

Features

  • Active ingredient: Sildenafil Citrate
  • Available in multiple strengths: 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg film-coated tablets
  • Rapid onset of action, typically within 30–60 minutes
  • Duration of effect lasting up to 4–6 hours
  • Requires sexual stimulation for efficacy
  • Manufactured under strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines

Benefits

  • Effectively facilitates the achievement and maintenance of erections sufficient for sexual intercourse.
  • Improves overall sexual satisfaction and confidence for both the individual and their partner.
  • Offers a predictable and reliable treatment window, allowing for spontaneity in intimate moments.
  • Supported by extensive clinical research demonstrating high efficacy rates in diverse patient populations.
  • Contributes to improved psychological well-being by alleviating performance anxiety and stress related to ED.
  • Provides a cost-effective treatment option compared to other branded PDE5 inhibitors.

Common use

Assurans is primarily prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult males. Erectile dysfunction is characterized by the consistent inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. The medication is used on an as-needed basis prior to anticipated sexual activity. It is not intended for use by women, children, or adolescents. Its use is based on a proper diagnosis from a healthcare provider who has determined that there are no underlying contraindications for the patient.

Dosage and direction

The recommended starting dose for most patients is 50 mg taken approximately one hour before sexual activity. Based on efficacy and tolerability, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water; it can be taken with or without food, although a high-fat meal may delay the onset of action. The medication should not be taken more than once in a 24-hour period. The timing of administration can be adjusted between 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity based on individual response.

Precautions

Patients should undergo a thorough medical evaluation to diagnose ED and identify underlying causes before starting treatment. Use with caution in patients with anatomical deformation of the penis, history of priapism, bleeding disorders, or active peptic ulceration. Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular disease; sexual activity poses a potential cardiac risk, and Assurans is not a treatment for cardiovascular conditions. Patients should not use Assurans concurrently with other ED treatments or recreational drugs known as “poppers” (alkyl nitrites). Protect tablets from light and moisture.

Contraindications

Assurans is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Sildenafil Citrate or any other component of the formulation. Its concurrent use with any form of organic nitrate therapy (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate or dinitrate) or guanylate cyclase stimulators (e.g., riociguat) is strictly prohibited due to the risk of a severe, potentially fatal drop in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in men for whom sexual activity is inadvisable due to underlying cardiovascular status.

Possible side effect

The most common side effects are headache, flushing, dyspepsia, nasal congestion, and dizziness. These are typically mild to moderate and transient. Visual disturbances (such as changes in color vision, blurred vision, or increased sensitivity to light) and hearing changes (including sudden decrease or loss) have been reported. Priapism (a prolonged and painful erection lasting more than 4 hours) is a rare but serious side effect requiring immediate medical attention to prevent permanent tissue damage.

Drug interaction

Concomitant use with nitrates is absolutely contraindicated. Alpha-blockers (e.g., doxazosin) can potentiate the blood-pressure-lowering effects; concomitant use requires careful medical supervision. Assurans may potentiate the hypotensive effects of antihypertensive medications. It is metabolized primarily by the CYP3A4 enzyme system; therefore, potent inhibitors of CYP3A4 (e.g., ketoconazole, ritonavir, erythromycin) can significantly increase Sildenafil plasma levels. Inducers of CYP3A4 (e.g., rifampin) may decrease its efficacy.

Missed dose

Assurans is not intended for regular daily dosing but is taken on an as-needed basis prior to sexual activity. Therefore, the concept of a “missed dose” does not apply. If a dose is not taken within the planned timeframe before activity, it can be taken at a later time, ensuring that no more than one dose is consumed within a 24-hour period.

Overdose

In cases of overdose exceeding the maximum recommended dose, the expected effects would be an exaggeration of the known side effects, including severe hypotension, syncope, and prolonged erection. Standard supportive measures should be employed, including keeping the patient in a supine position to maintain blood pressure and cerebral perfusion. Priapism requires immediate urological intervention. Dialysis is not expected to accelerate clearance as Sildenafil is highly protein-bound and extensively metabolized.

Storage

Store Assurans tablets at room temperature (15°–30°C or 59°–86°F) in their original packaging. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the medication after the expiration date printed on the blister pack or bottle.
