Common use

Cenmox (amoxicillin) is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms including:

Renal impairment: Dosage adjustment is necessary for patients with creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min. Extended intervals between doses or reduced total daily dosage is recommended.

Missed dose

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule. Maintaining consistent blood levels is important for efficacy, but occasional missed doses are generally not problematic if the overall treatment course is completed.

Overdose

Amoxicillin overdose may cause gastrointestinal symptoms including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. There may be disturbances of electrolyte balance.
